Who is responsible for your data

The legal entity responsible for VIA MEET data processing has not yet been finalised. Until it is published here, privacy requests are handled through the contact email below.

What data we process

When you join the VIA MEET waitlist we store only what is needed to contact you at launch:

• Email address
• Selected platform interest (ANDROID, IOS or BOTH)
• Your 18+ confirmation
• Your waitlist consent status
• Selected website language (EN, HR, DE, IT, ES, FR)
• Country, only if you granted location permission — otherwise UNKNOWN
• Date and time of your submission
• Source of the submission (VIA MEET Website)

Location data

The website never asks for your location automatically. Location permission is requested only after you press "Use my location".

If you allow it, your coordinates are used temporarily in your browser to centre the map, determine your city and country and show real nearby venues.

We do not store your latitude, longitude, exact address or location history. Only the country name is saved with a waitlist submission, and only when permission was granted.

Why we process this data

We use the data listed above for the following purposes:

• Managing the VIA MEET launch waitlist
• Notifying you when VIA MEET becomes available
• Important launch-related communication
• Website functionality and map personalisation
• Anonymous analytics, only where you granted consent

Legal basis

Waitlist data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give with the two checkboxes in the waitlist form. Optional analytics is processed only after you accept it in the cookie banner. Strictly necessary storage (your language and consent choice) is required for the website to work.

Where your data is stored

Waitlist submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the VIA MEET team. The website is hosted on Lovable infrastructure. Map, geocoding and nearby place features use Google Maps Platform. These providers may process technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the service.

How long we keep it

Waitlist data is kept until the VIA MEET launch communication is completed, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.

Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary browser storage for your language and consent preferences. Optional, anonymous analytics runs only after you accept it and can be rejected or changed at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. We never send your email address or exact location to analytics.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your waitlist data, withdraw your consent, or object to processing. You do not need to explain why.

Age requirement

VIA MEET is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. Do not submit waitlist data if you are under 18.

Withdrawing consent and deleting your data

You can withdraw your consent and request deletion of your waitlist data at any time by contacting viameet.app@gmail.com.
